Drying Time: Touch dry in approx. 2 hours; through dry in 24 hours depending on film thickness and conditions.
Application Temperature: Apply above +5°C. External applications should only be carried out in dry conditions with no imminent risk of rain.
Coverage: 2.5–4.0 m² per litre per coat, depending on substrate, application method, and required performance.
Colour Options: Available in white, black, and grey. Using contrasting colours in two coats ensures full coverage.
Shelf Life: Up to 18 months in original, unopened containers when stored correctly between +5°C and +25°C, protected from frost and direct sunlight.
Clean & Stable Substrate: All surfaces must be clean, dry and free from dust, grease, oil, loose particles, or contaminants that could impair adhesion.
Asbestos Surfaces: Only sound asbestos materials should be encapsulated. Preparation and handling must follow current local authority and national asbestos regulations.
Priming: Apply Bostik PVA primer to asbestos surfaces in accordance with the product data sheet before coating with ET-150.
External Conditions: Do not apply in poor drying conditions or when rainfall is imminent. External areas should be tented or protected until the coating has cured.
Mechanical Damage Areas: Joints, corners, or areas subject to impact may require embedding reinforcement (such as scrim canvas or glass cloth) into the first wet coat.
Surface Profile: Ensure the substrate is shaped to prevent standing water. A minimum slope of 15° is recommended for horizontal surfaces before applying the coating.
Not for Unsound Asbestos: Only stable, intact asbestos-containing materials should be encapsulated. Damaged or friable asbestos must be handled in line with regulations and by licensed contractors.
External Use Precautions: While suitable for external applications, the coating must be protected during curing to prevent rain or standing water from damaging the film.
No Standing Water: The product is not designed for ponding or permanently submerged areas. Surfaces must be sloped to shed water.
Not for Floors: ET-150 is not suitable for use as a floor coating or in areas subject to heavy foot traffic.
Application Conditions: Do not apply below +5°C or in conditions where drying will be delayed by high humidity or poor ventilation.
Coverage Dependent: Fire performance and durability are based on a two-coat system applied at the recommended rate. Reduced application thickness may compromise results.
Mechanical Impact: Areas vulnerable to physical damage must be reinforced with scrim or glass cloth to avoid premature failure.
Storage Sensitivity: Must be stored between +5°C and +25°C, protected from frost and direct sunlight.
